In honor of the great Bicentennial of the declaration of the Greek Revolution in 1821, Pierce – The American College of Greece has scheduled a series of activities, entitled “For freedom: A Pierce tribute to the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution” for the period of March and April 2021: 1. Celebration of the National Holiday of March 25th, 2. Talks about various aspects of the Greek Revolution by distinguished University Professors, 3. Interview with the Ambassador of the United States, Geoffrey R. Pyatt, regarding the friendly relations between Greece and the United States of America, dating back to the time of the Greek Revolution (for the Greek magazine “Sunny Days”), 4. Interview with Aikaterini Polymerou-Kamilaki, former Director of the Hellenic Folklore Research Center of the Academy of Athens (for the Greek magazine “Sunny Days”), 5. Online music festival (interpretation of traditional or more modern song, original creation of song or musical composition) on the occasion of the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution, 6. Painting competition for Gymnasium students, on the theme “200 years since the Greek Revolution.”, 7. Creation of a student video based on the Gymnasium Photography Competition, on the theme “1821-2021: The face of Greece 200 years later.”, 8. Participation of Pierce students in the Deree Athletic Department activity, entitled “1821 km Challenge.”, 9. Study of paintings by important European and Greek artists, inspired by the Greek struggle, by Gymnasium students and Lyceum club members. Theodore Vryzakis, Panagiotis Zografos, Eugene Delacroix and Nicholas Gyzis will take our students on a journey through history and inspire them to create their own original works, 10. Presentation on the theme “The Church in the Revolution of ’21“, by the Pierce Religion Department, 11. Presentation of Gymnasium student work on the theme “Great Greeks: Illuminate the past, understand the present, envision the future.”, 12. Digital tour of the art exhibition at the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation, on the theme “Women in the Revolution of 1821.”, 13. The Consulate of Greece in Perth has launched a special digital edition to be issued on a biweekly basis, on the occasion of this years' 200th Anniversary Celebrations of the Greek Revolution that led to the establishment of the Modern Greek State. The "200 Years Bulletin" will include information, news, messages, announcements and most importantly a calendar of events taking place in WA to celebrate this landmark year for Greece and Hellenism worldwide.

To πρόγραμμα "JA Start Up" είναι ένα πρωτοποριακό εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα του JA Europe που υλοποιείται ταυτόχρονα σε 300 Πανεπιστήμια σε όλη την Ευρώπη με τη συμμετοχή 15.000 φοιτητών. Το πρόγραμμα δίνει την ευκαιρία σε φοιτητές και φοιτήτριες 18-30 ετών να αναπτύξουν τη δική τους επιχειρηματική ιδέα και τους βοηθάει να αξιοποιήσουν τις δεξιότητές τους σε διάφορους τομείς και δραστηριότητες μιας επιχείρησης. Ουσιαστικά, φοιτητές δημιουργούν ομάδες και για ένα διάστημα τριών μηνών εργάζονται πάνω στην ανάπτυξη μιας επιχειρηματικής ιδέας, έχοντας υποστήριξη από καθηγητές και μέντορες. Η έκθεση με τίτλο «1821 πριν και μετά» θα παρουσιαστεί στο κτήριο του Μουσείου Μπενάκη / Πειραιώς 138 καταλαμβάνοντας το σύνολο των εκθεσιακών του χώρων. Το κτήριο θα καταστεί ένα ζωντανό κύτταρο που θα αφηγείται την ιστορία των νεότερων Ελλήνων από το 1770 έως το 1880. Η έκθεση θα αρθρωθεί σε τρεις ενότητες: Η πρώτη θα ξεκινά από το 1770 και τα Ορλωφικά και θα φθάνει έως την έναρξη της Επανάστασης το 1821. Η δεύτερη ενότητα θα αφορά στην εξέλιξη του Αγώνα και θα ολοκληρώνεται με τη διακυβέρνηση του νεοσύστατου κράτους από τον Ιωάννη Καποδίστρια. Η τρίτη ενότητα, που θα ξεκινά με την άφιξη του νεαρού βασιλιά Όθωνα το 1833, θα ολοκληρώνεται το 1880. Στην έκθεση θα παρουσιαστούν περισσότερα από 1000 τεκμήρια ιστορίας και τέχνης μέρος των οποίων εκτίθεται αλλά και μέρος των οποίων βρίσκεται στις αποθήκες του Μουσείου Μπενάκη, αλλά και πάρα πολλά από τις συλλογές των συνδιοργανωτριών τραπεζών συνδιοργανώτριες, υλικό υψηλής αισθητικής και ιστορικής αξίας.
