Marton Simitsek

Marton Simitsek was born in Athens in 1944.

He has over 45 years of experience in senior management and chief executive positions in private sector companies, mainly in the insurance and commercial sectors. During the past 15 years he has been Heading a privately-owned Group of Companies.

Involved in the Olympic Movement from a very young age, he has served as Vice-President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Vice-President of the International Olympic Academy, Member of the Marketing Commission of the European Olympic Committees, as well as Head (Chef de Mission) of the Greek Delegation to the Olympic Games of Lillehammer.

He served as Head of Operations for the successful ATHENS 2004 Bid Committee, and subsequently as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the ATHENS 2004 Organising Committee, having overall responsibility for the preparation and execution of all functional and operational aspects of the Games.

For his work at the 2004 Olympic Games, he has been awarded the Golden Olympic Order of the International Olympic Committee and the Order of Honour by the President of the Hellenic Republic.

Mr Simitsek supports the «Greece 2021» Committee’s work as Chief Executive Coordinator. He provides his services gratis, without any remuneration, and his work consists in directing the Committee’s administrative mechanism and monitoring the Committee’s programme of actions to ensure optimal implementation.

He is the Secretary General of Digital Governance and Simplification of Procedures at the Ministry of Digital Governance. He holds a degree on Political Science and International Relations from Panteion University and an MA in International Political Economy from Warwick University.

She is the Secretary General for Contemporary Culture. She holds, among others, a PhD in Theatre Studies (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), an ΜΑ in European Cultural Policy and Administration (University of Warwick) and an MSc in Culture and Society (London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE).

He is a Science teacher . He holds a Un. Degree in Physics and in Mining Engineering, a MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology and a MEd in Adult Education.

Mylonakis Georgios

Georgios Mylonakis was born in 1973 in Perama, in the region of Attica, and is married with two children. He graduated from the General High School of Perama and went on to study at Panteion University, graduating in 1997 with a Degree in International and European Studies.

Papapetropoulos Theodore

He is a graduate of the Varvakeio Model Experimental School (Athens, Greece), he holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MA in European Economics from the University of Exeter (with Distinction).

Mr. Ioannis Smyrlis is a political scientist, graduate of the Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration with a Postgraduate Diploma in International and European Relations from the University of Athens (EKPA).
