How was the Committee “Greece 2021” established?
The establishment of the Committee “Greece 2021” was implemented by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis who entrusted its presidency to Mrs. Gianna Aggelopoulou.
How much will the Committee “Greece 2021” cost to Greece?
The Presidential Decree establishing the "Greece 2021" Committee explicitly stipulates that the Committees work, will not incur expenditure at the expense of the state budget. Both the operation of the Committee and the program of events it will support, will be covered by own resources, through private donations, sponsorships, sales proceeds or other promotions.

Will events take place abroad, as well?
Yes. Wherever Greeks reside, wherever Greece needs to be present.
How can I participate?
Every citizen, Greek or non-Greek, is welcome to participate in the planning of events. You can enter the apply.greece2021.gr platform and submit your proposal. Also, you can access the calendar of the Committee “Greece 2021” website and “upload” your event.

Which are the main priorities?
The first project of the Committee will be the creation of a Calendar on which all the ventures and events planned by foundations, universities, local governing bodies and various other institutions will be cataloged.
The second project will be the management by the Assembly of all the proposals submitted to the Committee by the various organizations and individuals who wish to participate in the events. The proposals will be submitted through the electronic platform which has been developed and they will be evaluated by the members of the Assembly.
The third and most important project of the Assembly will be the planning of ventures which will be proposed to the appropriate organizations with the intent to materialize. The goal is to draw as many organizations as possible into the Program Greece 2021 to “show respect to our history, honor our people, explore and highlight our country and plan our future. “
What is the objective of the Committee “Greece 2021”?
The objective of the Committee Greece2021, besides the planning of the celebration of the landmark anniversary of 200 years since the Revolution, is to organize a comprehensive plan of ventures and events which will aim at reintroducing Greece, from the beginning of its contemporary history to today, in this course of 200 years.
