Acknowledgment ceremony for the "Greece 2021" Committee's sponsorship of the Skinakas Observatory

The 520,000 Euros new telescope sponsorship implemented by the "Greece 2021" Committee is yet another action with a positive imprint on society. It became possible thanks to the budget surplus that accumulated at the end of the anniversary year and implements the Committee's commitment to supporting innovative actions and initiatives aimed at opening a "window to the future."

"I am delighted to be here today; it is a symbolic crossroad at the end of my term as President of the "Greece 2021" Committee and the beginning of a new era for the Observatory of Psiloritis, which introduces new paths and prospects," said Ms. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki in her speech, emphasizing the significance of this sponsorship: "The 520,000 euros funding of the new telescope will facilitate upgraded aptitudes in many critical areas; in research, free experiential education,  environmental study on climate change, safety in new technology telecommunications, sustainable development, and upgrading the touristic experience in the area of Psiloritis and Crete".
