The President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, extended an invitation to the Greek Diaspora members in the United States to actively participate in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Revolution and assist Greece in the challenges it faces today.

Speaking at the 30th conference of the "Leadership 100" organization, which was held online, Mrs. Angelopoulos stressed that "the world is at a critical crossroads facing an unprecedented pandemic that affects the international economy and social stability. Amid these complicated circumstances, our Nation unites to celebrate the Bicentennial of modern Greece."

This year's conference program included a tribute to Greece on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Revolution of 1821. The conference was also addressed by his Eminence Archbishop Elpidoforos of America, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Greece's Ambassador to Washington Alexandra Papadopoulou.

"Leadership 100" is a group of prominent members of the U.S. Greek Diaspora and other benefactors of the Archdiocese of America, who support the humanitarian work of the Archdiocese through their donations.
