On Tuesday, May 11, the President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Mrs. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, had successive teleconferences with the Ambassador of India, Mr. Amrit Lugun, and the Irish Ambassador Iseult Fitzgerald, in the context of meeting with ambassadors from the countries that have submitted proposals for projects and events concerning the 200 years after the Revolution of 1821.
At the meeting with the Irish Ambassador, Mrs. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki described the Committee's strategy and tasks. She referred to the emblematic projects that address the future and which the Committee will implement in the coming months.
For her part, Mrs. Iseult Fitzgerald presented her ideas on the commemoration of the Greek anniversary and made a particular reference to the Irish philhellene Richard Church, whose tomb is located in the 1st Cemetery of Athens. He served the Revolution and the modern Greek State from various military and political posts.
