“Greece 2021” Committee delegation visits Naoussa

A "Greece 2021" Committee delegation headed by its President, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, visited the heroic City of Naoussa to attend the 199th anniversary of the city's Holocaust.
The Mayor of the city, Nikolas Karanikolas, in the presence of Imathia MP Lazaros Tsavdaridis, welcomed the Committee delegation at the Town Hall where associates of the Mayor made a brief presentation of the proposal that the Municipality of Naoussa submitted to the "Greece 2021" Committee for the 200 years after the Revolution.
With the Committee's consent, at the end of April, the proposal was included in the "Antonis Tritsis" Urban Development Programme for funding. The proposal concerns creating a historical and cultural route in the city, which will associate the sacrifice of 13 Naoussa women at the Arapitsa waterfall with iconic local sites, and combine hiking, digital technology, educational aspects, cultural production, and the creation of a historical archive.
