"Greece 2021" Committee delegation visits Chalkida

A delegation of the "Greece 2021" Committee led by its President, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, visited Chalkida, the administrative, economic, and cultural center of Evia, which contributed with legendary chieftains and decisive victories in the Struggle of the Revolution of 1821.

The Committee delegation met with Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, Deputy-Regional Governor of Evia, Giorgos Kelaiditis, Mayor of Chalkida Eleni Vaka, and the Mayors of the Municipalities of Evia, at the Town Hall of Chalkida: The Mayor of Kymi - Aliveri, Thanasis Bourantas, the Mayor of Eretria, Ioannis Dimitropoulos, the Mayor of Dirfyon - Messapion, Georgios Psathas and the Mayor of Mandoudi – Limni - Aghia Anna, Giorgos Tsapourniotis.

The discussion centered on the anniversary projects and events prepared by both the Region of Central Greece and the Municipalities of Evia to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Revolution.
