"Greece 2021" Committee visits Lavrio

On Thursday, July 15, 2021, a delegation of the "Greece 2021" Committee visited Lavrio, a city symbol of the industrial development of Greece, identified with important historical moments in the country's development. The President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, referred to the objectives of the anniversary year, which is "the promotion of intangible heritage, i.e., synergies, collaborations and alliances, which we want to leave as a legacy, and the material heritage, the history of each place and how we will convey it to future generations.

Mrs. Angelopoulos-Daskalaki also noted that two central projects of the Committee target the transitional passage into the next century. Firstly, the Forum "Greece in 2040" will produce a White Paper on the restructuring and reforming challenges the country will face in the next 20 years. And the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Algorithms will allow young scientists to use their talent while staying in Greece and not have to leave their country.
