"It is not just the anniversary of the two hundred years since the beginning of the War of Independence that is being commemorated. But also Justice as one of the three pillars that establish the Greek state as a democratic rule of law, as a liberal democracy", stressed the President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, in her address at the scientific conference co-organized by the General Committee of the State of the Regular Administrative Courts, the Council of State, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court Prosecutor's Office, the Court of Auditors, the Legal Counsel of State, and the Athens Bar Association.
Mrs. Angelopoulos pointed out that "this year's anniversary year, although fragmented by the pandemic, gave the opportunity to individual sectors to delve into their history. To plan their future with an insightful approach.”
The conference titled "Greek Justice from the Revolution of 1821 to present day, important milestones and prospects" is organized on the 8th and 9th of September in Athens and is under the auspices and with the support of the "Greece 2021" Committee.
