The President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, participated in the private tour that Brigitte Macron had on Friday, September 17th, at the Benaki Museum. The French President's wife visited Athens accompanying French President Emmanuel Macron, participating in the EUMED 9 Summit.
At the Benaki Museum, the First Lady of France was welcomed by the Greek Prime Minister's wife, Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki, and Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki. They accompanied her on a tour of the emblematic exhibition "1821 Before and After", which is included in the National Anniversary Celebration Program coordinated by the "Greece 2021" Committee. The tour was carried out by the Academic Director of the Museum, Giorgis Manginis, in the presence of the President of the Museum’s Board of Trustees, Irini Geroulanou.
Brigitte Macron showed great interest in the exhibits, especially in the paintings, the Greek flags and the Greek traditional costumes, and other objects from the revolutionary and post-revolutionary period. After the tour ended, the three ladies posed for commemorative photos.
