The destruction left behind by the August fires affected our lives, and it is the collective obligation of each and every one of us to take responsibility and try our best to rehabilitate it. In this context, the "Greece 2021" Committee decided to offer all the proceeds of its Numismatic Programme as of August 23rd until it ends to specific rehabilitation projects in the fire-stricken areas. These projects will identify by name the individuals and companies that will participate in the effort by purchasing coins.
The players and the coach of the men's national water polo team join forces with the Committee to help this initiative have the best possible outcome. The team members exhibited compassion and sensitivity when during the Tokyo Olympic Games, with the devastating fires in their minds, they "apologized" for the joy they shared with us for winning the silver medal. Showing the same compassion, they star in the promotional video created by the "Greece 2021" Committee and send their own message: Together, with the power of many, we will heal our wounds. Because what was burned belonged to us all.
They encourage us to purchase the coins of the collector series for the 200th anniversary of the Revolution and to empower the initiative of the "Greece 2021" Committee. An act of solidarity, a contribution of great significance, which encourages a new understanding of our relationship with the public space.
Taking part in this initiative has multiple benefits. First of all, it is the last chance to acquire collectible coins by participating in the Numismatic Programme, which will conclude very soon. In addition, the money raised will be offered to specific rehabilitation procedures proposed by the State. Furthermore, the names of companies and individuals who will contribute to the initiative will be announced, while, especially for the companies that choose the coins as corporate gifts, the tax incentives of paragraph 8 of article 34 of Law 4647/2019 will be applicable.
The coins are available at the "Greece 2021" Committee's eshop: https://shop.greece2021.gr/ and at the telephone number 216 0004001.
