The President of the "Greece 2021" Committee visits Orestiada to inaugurate a robotics educational project – Gianna Angelopoulos: The future is here

Through the project "A Small Revolution in Education: we highlight the digital potential of the Greeks of Tomorrow," 1821 schools across the country will be equipped with robotics kits. This project is within the framework of a nationwide proposal by the Municipality of Trikala; it has been included in the "Antonis Tritsis" program, is under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee and has the support of the Ministry of Education. For the symbolic but also essential launch of the program, with the delivery of the first 8,613 kits nationwide, the border city of Orestiada, the country's newest and northernmost city, was selected. The kits apply to 332 schools, 45,000 students, and 4,500 teachers.

"The future is here," emphasized the President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki from the 1st High School of Orestiada, while the students held the robotics kits in their hands. "Robotics, artificial intelligence, data science, change our lives. As the "Greece 2021" Committee, we made a promise not to allow the new generation to miss out on the opportunity, and it is precisely the reason we chose projects that guide the education's transition in the new era," she underlined and addressed the children: "Enjoy them, learn from them, innovate, create, excel, this will be our reward."
